Bald Eagles in the BWCAW

Nevada Smith and his family recently paddled up to Lac la Croix for a week. The guys were fishing and saw this bald eagle intently watching them. Eventually, after much successful fishing of their own, they watched as the bald eagle came soaring down, scooped a fish out of the water they had recently caught and landed back in its trees near their campsite. The guys continued to watch as it ate the small fish. There's nothing quite like a fresh fish meal, for people or for eagles. Thanks to Nevada for sharing his photos here on Boundary Waters Blogger!
