Lake Three Fire Update for BWCAW

The small wildfire burning on Lake Three has grown to 31 acres in size. No new changes otherwise: Smoke is still visible and the smell of smoke is widespread along the Fernberg Rd. The three campsites at the south end of Lake Three remain closed. Traveling between Lakes Two and Four is still possible, as is travel to Horseshoe Lake. Visitors still may hear or see aircraft and/or a public safety crew. The fire is still confined to two islands and continues to creep slowly.
