Campsites Re-opened on Lake Three in BWCAW

Three campsites that were closed due to the small 31-acre forest fire burning since June 12 have been reopened. The fire activity is low due to damp weather. Travel is still possible in all area throughout Lake Three and into Horseshoe Lake. Visitors approaching the burned area should use caution due to the danger of falling trees. In the narrow channel next to the burned island, visitors should be sure to stay as close to the green shore as possible.
