Portaging Elves?

Kate, Jason and Lexee-dog joined the fun in Ely's Christmas Parade today. Jason portaged a festively decorated Wenonah Spirit II canoe - complete with garland, bells, and colorful ornaments. Kate carried a red Duluth Pack and tossed peppermints to the kids. They're both wearing genuine Elf hats.  Lexee wore her winter fleece with bright red bows and a special holiday bomber style hat. It felt good to be portaging a canoe even though it will be a while before the portages are clear of snow.  Ah, the fun and silliness!

Having participated in a previous Xmas parade with Kate and seen pictures of her July 4th ones, I know she is a force to be reckoned with when she takes to the streets!
